The HP Tuners MPVI Battery Power Cable is required for supported powersports vehicles that do not have a built-in vehicle battery. It supplies stable power to the ECU from an external 12V battery during diagnostics and flashing procedures.
This cable is especially useful for motocross and powersports applications where the ECU cannot be reliably powered by an internal vehicle battery during flashing. By connecting to a separate 12V battery, it provides the required power supply for the control module.
The alligator clips connect directly to the positive and negative terminals of an external 12V battery. The OBDII connector plugs into the HP Tuners MPVI interface. The diagnostic port then allows connection to the appropriate powersports OBDII adapter cable or other required adapter.
The MPVI Battery Power Cable is intended for supported vehicles without a built-in battery, including selected Honda CRF450R and CRF250R models as well as other supported powersports applications.
Important: This cable provides stable ECU power during diagnostics and flashing procedures. It does not replace the vehicle-specific OBDII adapter cable that may also be required depending on the vehicle.
