The HP Tuners OBDII Adapter Cable for Yamaha Marine 3-Pin Diagnostics allows supported Yamaha marine engines to connect to a compatible HP Tuners interface. It is used for diagnostics, live data display and data monitoring with VCM Scanner.
The cable connects the Yamaha 3-pin diagnostic connector to an HP Tuners MPVI3 or MPVI4 interface. When used with VCM Scanner, it allows engine data to be displayed, operating parameters to be monitored and diagnostic trouble codes to be read.
This adapter cable is designed specifically for diagnostic access on supported Yamaha marine applications. It is suitable for reviewing engine data, monitoring performance and operating values, and identifying potential issues.
Important: This cable is intended for diagnostics and data monitoring only. It does not support writing, flashing or modifying calibrations. For calibration writing, the appropriate Yamaha marine flashing cables are required.
To use this cable, an MPVI3 or MPVI4 interface, VCM Suite software and a supported Yamaha marine application are required. Supported applications include selected Yamaha four-stroke outboard engines such as F225, F250, F300, F350 and selected F40–F150 models, depending on the application.
