HP Tuners GM E41 ECM Upgrade Kit for 2017–2023 Duramax L5P / L5D
The HP Tuners GM E41 ECM Upgrade Kit is required for supported 2017–2023 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500/3500 models with the 6.6L Duramax engine. It is intended for L5P and L5D applications with the E41 ECM and enables the required ECM upgrade process for read, write and special functions in VCM Suite. With this kit, the E41 ECM can be upgraded directly in the vehicle without removing the control module from the truck. This helps avoid the risk of damaging tabs or connectors during removal or reinstallation. Depending on the application, the upgrade process can be completed in a short amount of time. A compatible HP Tuners interface is required for use. This kit is compatible with MPVI2+ interfaces with Pro Feature Set and with MPVI3 interfaces. MPVI and standard MPVI2 interfaces are not compatible with this kit. After the ECM upgrade has been completed, supported functions such as diagnostics, data logging, reading, editing and writing calibrations are available through the VCM Suite. According to HP Tuners, no IMMO relearn, crank relearn or “Replace ECM” function is required when using this kit. Important: An E41 ECM upgrade is required for tuning supported 2017–2023 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500/3500 6.6L Duramax L5P and L5D applications. Each vehicle must also be licensed with 6 HP Tuners Universal Credits during the upgrade process. Universal Credits are not included with this kit and must be purchased separately. HP Tuners GM E90 / T93 Upgrade Kit
The HP Tuners GM E90 / T93 Upgrade Kit is intended for supported GM vehicles equipped with an E90 ECM and T93 TCM. It enables the upgrade process for compatible control modules without removing them from the vehicle. This kit is designed for professional tuners, workshops and experienced users who want to work on supported GM vehicles with the HP Tuners VCM Suite. The upgrade process can be performed directly in the workshop or garage and helps reduce the risk of damaging control modules during removal or reinstallation. The GM E90 ECM is used in selected 2019–2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 models with 5.3L and 6.2L V8 engines. This includes L84 and L87 applications in pre-facelift models without Global B architecture. Current note regarding the GM T93 TCM: According to HP Tuners, as of March 17, 2026, the GM T93 TCM no longer needs to be upgraded via send-in service or with this upgrade kit. For supported applications, the T93 TCM can be licensed and tuned as normal directly via OBDII. The GM E90 ECM still requires an upgrade using this kit or an appropriate service. A compatible HP Tuners interface is required for use. This kit is only compatible with MPVI3 and MPVI4 interfaces. MPVI, MPVI2 and MPVI2+ interfaces are not compatible with this kit. The latest version of the VCM Suite software is also required. After the upgrade has been completed, supported functions such as diagnostics, data logging, reading, editing and writing calibrations are available through the VCM Suite. HP Tuners PCM Unlock Service for Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep & RAM
With our HP Tuners PCM Unlock Service, we prepare supported Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep and RAM control modules for use with the HP Tuners VCM Suite. The unlock is performed in-house by Schropp Tuning. You send us your original or compatible spare PCM, we perform the unlock and then return the control module to you. This service is required for many 2015+ Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep and RAM vehicles in order to read, write and edit the PCM with HP Tuners. Once the unlock has been completed, the control module can be diagnosed and data logged with VCM Scanner and edited with VCM Editor, depending on vehicle support. Supported applications include many FCA vehicles with PCM types such as GPEC2, GPEC2A and GPEC4. Exact compatibility depends on the vehicle, model year, engine, control module and software version. Important for 2018+ models: Many 2018+ Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep and RAM vehicles also require the HP Tuners Dodge 2018+ Smart Access Cable in order to work with the vehicle via OBD. This cable is not included with the unlock service and must be ordered separately if required. Universal Credits are not included: Additional HP Tuners Universal Credits are required to license the vehicle in the VCM Suite. The number of credits required depends on the vehicle and control module and is not included in the price of this unlock service. Please enter in the order comment: make, model, model year, engine, VIN and, if known, the PCM type. This information helps us process the order correctly and avoid delays. Important send-in notes: Please send in the PCM only, without brackets, rubber isolators, additional mounting parts or unnecessary accessories. Control modules with damaged connectors, broken locking tabs or visible housing damage may not be suitable for the unlock service. Note: This service is a one-time unlock of the submitted control module. Processing time depends on workload, shipping time and the condition of the control module.
